Hello there,

This isn’t the first real issue of The Missing Header. Think of it as the prologue, or a sign on the door that says: “We’re setting the table.”

Very soon, this space will be filled with stories about data — not the shiny dashboards, but the messy bits underneath. The forgotten fields, the duplicate rows, the cryptic JSON blobs, the XMLs someone swore were “well-formed.” (They weren’t.)

This newsletter is for the people who inherit data with no instructions. For those who ask, “Wait, what does this column actually mean?” For everyone who’s ever felt unsure whether cleaning up a dataset is brave… or just futile.

The first real issue is coming soon. Until then, thanks for being early. You’ll be the first to know when it lands.
